Praying for our students.
Student Prayer Warriors is an initiative within our church to provide each of our students with someone in our congregation committed to upholding them in prayer. Our youth have a lot to navigate these days, and it means so much to them just to know that another person is praying for them, specifically. This is a one-year commitment.
What ages of students is this for?
For middle-schoolers through college age, or age 24.
How much do the student and SPW interact?
We leave this up to the student, or to the parent/guardian (if the student is a minor).
Tell me about the SPW events you have.
A few times a year, we host our SPWs and students for a time of connection, encouragement, and fun. This time usually includes some kind of food and games. It is a great time for the prayer warrior and student to catch up and grow deeper in relationship.
What can a student do to help this ministry flourish?
One of the best things you can do is to keep your SPW up-to-date on current prayer needs. The rest is up to you.

Take interest in the student you are paired with, be a good listener, and pray diligently for them and for their growth during the year.
