We believe Jesus intended that our lives would be “more abundant” (John 10:10b). This is a spiritual vibrancy not found in the materialistic prosperity gospel, lone ranger Christianity, or legalism.
Simply put, we have intense joy in Him, in our freedom in Christ, and in the balancing of worship, growth, play, and servanthood. In this, we are truly rich. And we, of all people, should know best how to truly enjoy life in its fullness.
We also don’t want to exist only for ourselves. It goes against our God-given grain (Galatians 6:10). With this in mind, we try to keep our eyes open for opportunities to mobilize and serve someone within our church or community, or to aid likeminded churches within our reach.
We will run one chapter or section of Scripture for the month. The general goal is to prayerfully read through the text seven times during the month and come ready to engage the text at the group meetings. More details are given at the meetings.
Our standard meeting place is our church building on East 8th. When conditions are favorable, we may sometimes meet offsite (marked with an asterisk). Details will be communicated at meetings and will also be posted above where meeting dates are listed.
